taking into account
types of wood
Hardwoods (oak, teak, mahogany): Naturally dense and less absorbent, these wood types may require multiple coats of oil to penetrate properly. Oils like Teak Oil or Tung Oil work very well.
Softwoods (pine, cedar, spruce): More absorbent and prone to staining or discolouration, softwoods can darken noticeably under some oils. Oils that soak in evenly, like Danish Oil, are recommended.
Exotic Woods: Some speciality woods may react differently to certain oils; we recommend you test on a small hidden area before full application.
